Greetings and Farewell South Park Families.

We are approaching our last week of school with your wonderful students you have entrusted to us to educate them academically and through SEL (Social Emotional Learning). What an interesting and ever-changing year it has been for all. Albeit counseling took on a different look this year due to COVID, I was able to spend time face to face in classrooms, connected through Voice Thread video recordings available to all, and in office work with students, families, and staff. This last month of counseling lessons for most grades I presented a story either read or animated (via me) to the grade level of the students that addresses “journey”. This was the segue I used to present to students that I am going onto a new journey just as they are and will continue to do throughout life. I am leaving South Park to work in another school in another District. My time here has been valuable in a variety of ways. I thank the students, families, and South Park staff for welcoming me back to the roots of my counselor beginnings. South Park will welcome a new counselor and I know the students will be just as welcoming. This is a wonderful community which I have always held near and dear to my heart. Thank you for the growth, laughter, challenges, and love. I wish you all very well.

Sincerely,

Ms. B.
