TODAY ONLY - Butterbraid & Cookie Dough Fundraiser pick up! Freezers are full of Turkeys for Bingo - we Do Not have anywhere to store items that are not picked up. Thank you for making this fundraiser such a success!
We apologize for any inconvenience, we need to reschedule our Books & Bingo event to Tuesday, December 9th. Everything else will stay the same, only a date change. 🌟 Special Cultural Showcase – Featuring Hoop Dancer Tara Kingi! 🌟
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting professional hoop dancer Tara Kingi at our Student Showcase tomorrow November 14 at 9:30am.
As part of this celebration, we invite Native American students who have regalia to participate in an opening intertribal dance. An intertribal song (2–3 minutes) will be played, and all dance styles are welcome.
This is a powerful opportunity for students to share their culture, build confidence, and shine in front of their peers—followed by an inspiring performance by Tara Kingi.
✨ If your student would like to participate in the opening dance, please let us know before the assembly. ✨
We look forward to honoring culture, tradition, and student pride together!

Free Shoes for Students from 1pm-4pm at 625 South Street (behind Rapid City Academy). Students must be enrolled in Rapid City Public Schools and they must be present to receive shoes. (They need to try them on to make sure they fit correctly.)

District Opener – Building Closure Notice
On Monday, August 18, all Rapid City Area Schools buildings will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to approximately 10:30 a.m. for our annual District Opener event. This is a special tradition where all RCAS staff gather to celebrate the start of the new school year and align for success. We appreciate your understanding as we take this time to connect, inspire, and ring in the new year together.
